The Bridge is well defended by Ghurkas supported by the Gordons.
|
Early SPIFF moves are cautious, fearing the fire power of the defenders?
|
The Ghurkas are dug in amongst the ruined village of Rhanli.
|
Soviet bribery and lies wins over the Bhurpas! The mountain gun is in some
danger now!
|
Brigadier Bykleigh orders the Gordons forward to support the hard pressed
Ghurkas. They would pay a heavy price for their gallantry...
|
Realising earlier hesitation had damaged his plans Robinski throws caution
to the wind and orders a general attack.
|
As night falls (the end of Turn 7!) the defenders are bloodied, but unbowed
while the Soviets are short of their objective... a draw, but really a tactical
victory for Robinski and the SPIFF.
|
As usual we used Bolt Action 2 for the rules, setting the game's duration at 6 Turns, plus a 7th on a throw of 4-6 at the end of Turn 6. Phil's initial caution left him short of the objective while my force was still in place, though severely mauled! I conceded a tactical win to Phil, so when we return to Rhanzlistan it will see the S.P.I.F.F. attempting to carry off their plundered supplies before their escape route is cut of...
Arghh lovely stuff .....just keeps reminding me I have the forces in the todo pile 😀
ReplyDeleteThanks Matt! But, a ‘to do’ pile, how unusual...
DeleteThe tribesmen know when they are oppressed and acted accordingly, the armoured car commander will be getting a visit from the Cheka in due course :~)
ReplyDeleteWhat a spectacular table, looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it Phil.
DeleteYet more Imperialist Tall Tales from Rhanzlistan
ReplyDeleteTall Tales? Merely reporting the facts as I saw them...
